Children with Cancer UK (This is a message from Mark Hooley)
Im contacting you from Children with Cancer UK. I wondered if you could help with a project were working on for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month?
This year for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month we are asking families for their golden moments in their familys childhood cancer journey. Were asking families to e-mail an explanation of what their familys golden moment is and why it was such a special moment. Were also asking if people could include a photo of their golden moment. Were very happy to accept more than one golden moment.
Throughout September well be sharing these golden moments on social media and also compiling a special web page with all the golden moments.
Persons Guide to Lymphoma:
The Lymphoma Association has a publication out - The Young Persons Guide to Lymphoma.
We and they hope this will be a valuable and informative resource for teenagers affected by lymphatic cancer and their families and friends.
You can read it online by clicking here , or download a copy to your computer by right clicking on the link and choose "Save Target As", then select where you want to save it on your computer.
Our thanks goes to Helen Mee, the Assistant to the Hospital Liaison Officer, Lymphoma Association - www.lymphomas.org.uk - for providing us with this information.
and Carers Council:
Then why dont you come along to the Oncology unit and spend the morning doing great things with other people your age. Enjoy lunch and have fun. If interested speak to the Macmillan nurses or Cath/Tracy the CLIC Sargent Social Workers on the Oncology unit.
of Man Representative:
This is a .pdf file if it fails to open, or doesn't display properly in your browser, simply "right click" on the link and from the pop up menu select "save target as". Then select where on your computer you want to save the file and click save. The file will then be downloaded and saved onto your computer. You can then open the file using Adobe Reader.
Remember CHICS is here to give you and your family support - we are only a phone call away.
